The exclusive event Artist in Residence for SMPAA music students is back. As part of the collaborative implementation of Professional Pathways Program between SMPAA and Interlochen Center for the Arts, the Artist in Residence series gives SMPAA students the opportunities to learn piano from and interact directly with Thomas (T.J.) Lymenstull, Doctor of Musical Arts and piano instructor at Interlochen.  

Piano Masterclass with Thomas (T.J.) Lymenstull will help participants understand the importance of expressing depth in performing arts. This would be a decisive factor for anyone on the journey of becoming professional art performers.  

About Thomas (T.J.) Lymenstull, D.M.A. 

Pianist Thomas Lymenstull has performed in many places around the world. He has performed with the Kronos Quartet, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and with orchestras in the United States and China. His performances have also been featured on WFMT Chicago, Voice of America and National Public Radio.  

Anually, Dr. Lymenstull is a familiar keynote guest speaker, guest instructor at various conservatories and music schools in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and China.
