RECAP “LESSONS IN MUSIC PERFORMANCE SKILLS”
#1 – From Classroom to Stage: Unleashing Instinct, Embracing Confidence

Last October, the “Lessons in Music Performance Skills” series kicked off with an inspiring topic: “The Difference Between the Classroom & the Stage – Instinct & Confidence in Performance,” led by Ms. Triệu Yên and Mr. Trung Hiếu.
From the familiar comfort of the classroom to the grandeur of the stage, SIA Vocal students were guided to develop essential performance skills, blending technique with emotion to truly connect with their audience and perform with inner confidence.
Because mastering the stage is also about mastering oneself – the courage to trust your own ability, express who you are, and connect authentically with the world around you.
#2 – Owning the Stage with Awareness & Grace Under Pressure

From backstage preparation to the final bow, every moment on stage holds the potential for surprises. Perfection rarely exists, and true professionalism lies in how gracefully a performer navigates the unexpected.
In this session of “Lessons in Music Performance Skills” guided by Mr. Đăng Toàn and Mr. Tuấn Anh, SIA Music students learned how to stay aware, think quickly, and turn unplanned moments into part of the performance with confidence and composure.
SIA Faculty of Music believes that stage mastery mirrors life itself: staying calm, flexible, and ready to transform challenges into opportunities to shine brighter!
#3 – What Makes a Great Drummer Stand Out?

The “Lessons in Music Performance Skills” session dedicated to Drum students offered a chance to practice the most essential, real-world performance skills: from stage presence, attire, and song introductions, to maintaining steady rhythm under pressure and communicating through eye contact with fellow band members.
These are the solid foundations that shape a confident drummer – one who can lead emotions, drive the energy, and connect the entire performance as one unified experience.
Cultivating a drummer’s sense of responsibility and professionalism is also a profound lesson in discipline and collaboration – learning to listen, to support others, and to stay grounded under pressure.
#4 – The Secret Behind Every Successful Performance
A captivating stage performance is never by chance, it’s the result of hours of preparation: from selecting the right piece and practicing with care, to attention to presentation, attitude, and mindset before stepping on stage.
Led by Mr. Anh Tuấn and Ms. Bích Ngọc, this “Lessons in Music Performance Skills” session offered students valuable insights on how to be proactive, composed, and ready to shine in any performance setting.
Beyond the stage, SIA Faculty of Music believes that when students approach everything they do with dedication, sincerity, and effort – success will follow, both in art and in life.
