SMPAA is very pleased to announce the SOUL Music & Performing Arts Championships – SMPAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 – Competition for all SMPAA Students. The competition will be held annually to provide an opportunity for SMPAA students to showcase their professional performance skills in front of a professional jury as well as to convey the unique SMPAA spirit and values and spread the competition’s positive message to the SMPAA Community.

Through this competition, SMPAA hopes to motivate, inspire and honor the talent of SMPAA students. Accordingly, the contestants will be watched not only by judges, teachers, parents and friends, but also by followers from SMPAA media channels and the arts community.

SMPAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 is intended to promote the progress of students and provide a great opportunity for students to discover and develop their artistic creativity through the three competition rounds. Participants will gain competitive experience and receive feedback from the professional jury made up of: the Directors of Music and Performing Arts training programs at SMPAA, the Founder and CEO of SMPAA, Mr. Thanh Bui, and famous local and international guest artists.

The contest is also an opportunity for parents, families, relatives and friends to witness the growth and recognize the development and achievements in music and dance of the students.

All proceeds from the Competition go to student outreach and scholarship programs. Participation is good for the artistic development of the students who compete and also helps other students in the community access quality artistic experiences.

MAIN CONTENT OF SMPAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 INCLUDING:

• The Online Video Audition round will last from July 15, 2021 until August 31, 2021. Contestants will participate in the competition by filling out an application form and attaching a video of their performance.
• The semi-final round of live competition will take place on October 17, 2021 on the SLPC stage at SMPAA
• The final round of live competition will take place on December 11, 2021 on the SLPC stage at SMPAA

In addition to the 3 main rounds, SMPAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 also includes specially designed exciting educational and intensive activities on professional performance skills with professional artists and coaches for the contestants who reach the semi-final and final rounds.
