LEARNING OBJECTIVES
– Develop fundamental to advanced musical expression requirements of the subject and different styles of music
– Encourage creativity and confidence in each student through improvisational exercies at all levels
– Acquire solid knowledge of music theory, coupled with technical and musical elements. Develop performance skills
– Develop coordination among the senses

Beginner Level
– Execute basic techniques of the subject (posture, arms and fingers position)
– Complete finger exercises of the Beginner Level
– Develop musicality and musical expression
– Develop basic performance etiquette
Intermediate Level
– Acquire all knowledge and skills of Beginner Level
– Continue to develop musicality and musical expression
– Develop ability to manage the sound of the piano through dynamics and musical styles
– Continue to develop performance skills and etiquette
Advanced Level
– Acquire all knowledge and skills of Beginner Level and Intermediate Level
– Understand and execute musical characteristics of different eras and/or genres
– Express music through technical and dynamics control
– Demonstrate the ability to connect with the audience through technical and performance space control
