The Hands Sculpture
At Soul Institute of Arts (SIA), we believe the arts are the truest form of expression of our humanity. They reflect who we are, our past, our present and our future. This is why we believe that it is a human right for all children to have access to an arts education, so that they may learn to express the uniqueness of their individual human experience and share that with their family, their community and the wider world.
The sculptured hands lifting the Confucius symbol, ‘ren’, or ‘humanity’, represents SIA’s belief in nurturing its students holistically through the universal language of music and the performing arts.
As members of our SIA community pass by each day coming to express their humanity through music and dance, we are reminded of the power of the arts to bring us all together in the shared human experience of life, and its power to unite all peoples of the world.
